Demo v1.06 Patch Notes


We're getting really close to a "finalized" version of this demo! A bunch of changes have been made responding to feedback and bug reports, so I'll probably miss some. But here goes:

  • New Tutorial Section. I noticed players ignoring or forgetting key mechanics to their own detriment, so I've reworked the tutorial into a new section. This is totally skippable, but definitely recommended. I think it'll help with onboarding, and make the mechanics stick more!
  • Grabbing works a little differently.  To take the ambiguity out of whether an object could be caught or picked up, an orange outline now appears around the nearest grabbable object in range.
  • You can now skip text by pressing Interact. Yay!
  • The Lantern and Health Meters have been redesigned
  • Spikes now deal 10 instead of 15 damage. You're welcome :)
  • Duplicate Relics will no longer appear behind sicklegrass.
  • Aegismena max damage reduction has been reduced from 30% to 15%.
  • Slight delay added to the crawling skeletons' attack
  • New art for the starting room!

Probably more changes I'm just not remembering right now!
